OUR AMBASSADORS OF GOOD WILL

Laure Favre Kahn

Since November 2004, Laure Favre Kahn is Chameleon’s godmother. In April 2011, she gave two concerts in the Philippines, one of them in Manila.

Laure Favre Kahn studied piano at the Conservatoire of music in Avignon, then at the “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique” in Paris. At 17 years old she got unanimously the highest award.

At the age of 20 she recorded her first CD dedicated to Schumann followed, the next year, by the recording of Chopin’s masterpieces. In January 1999, she performed at the Midem in Cannes, in the context of the ADAMI Classic Revelation.  Since then, she regularly performs in France, in the United States and in Asia, in recital or chamber music, notably with the violinist Nemanja Radulovic.

Her loyalty honors and delights us.

“What a thrill to cross hope in the eyes of an abused child, to exchange a big smile and that, all of a sudden, everything becomes possible. Yet, it is Life that we discover in the Philippines, children who give us a lesson in humility by their authenticity and by the force that springs up from their little heart.

Chameleon always needs you, together we can soften the wounds of the past and help building their future”.

KC Concepcion

Kristina Cassandra Concepcion, or simply KC, is a Godmother of Chameleon since 2007. She is the daughter of two megastars of Filipino cinema. KC, herself being an actress and a singer, is also a national star in the Philippines.

With parents admired by the millions of fans throughout the Philippines, KC spends her life under the big lights. In year 2003, KC joins the world of public by becoming an official promoter of several brands. Soon she becomes one of the most wanted top models. It is the same year when she decides to leave for France for her studies.

KC was pursuing her studies of Communication at the International School of Paris when she met Laurence Ligier. After the end of her studies, she decides to go back and live in the Philippines, where she begins her acting and singing career, paving out her own name and road to success.

Sensitive to the abused children in the Philippines, KC goes to Iloilo to visit the Chameleon centers at the end of 2007. The girls make a show for her. In return, KC sings “Sundo” to them, a song that evocates loyalty and friendship.

Deeply touched by meeting the girls of Chameleon, KC makes an immediate decision of becoming a Godmother of the association. Entitled, at the same time, as ambassador of the United Nations World Food Program, she is determined in her engagement. Popularity of KC in Filipino media and a strong impact on young generations allow her to reach out and raise awareness of great part of Filipino population regarding the problem of abused children in their own country, promoting the actions of Chameleon and mobilizing them to help. KC is a young and brilliant actress with a great charisma and talent. Chameleon Association is happy and proud to have her for a Godmother!

“To act, to get involved, and not wait for the things to happen: that’s the meaning and purpose of our actions.”    KC Concepcion
