Personal Rebuilding
Goal: Protecting young ladies, victims of sexual violence and helping them to rebuild themselves
Young ladies, victims of sexual violence, are welcome, accommodated and sheltered in two Reception Houses located on the countryside to allow them find childhood’s carefree attitude again as part of their personal rebuilding.
Profile
Girls and teenagers from 5 to 17, victims of sexual violence.
Those are native of various localities of Western Visayas (Region VI), which are made up of the islands of Panay, Guimaras and Negros. The young ladies come from a rural, poor and marginalized environment.

Reception
Arrival at CAMELEON’s as a result of a communication by social services.
Education
Getting up to the scholar standard, then inscription to state school. Followed by a special program for girls in a difficult situation. Tuition fees are carried out with the help of the godparents.
Health
Medical treatment carried out by physicians and a nurse: vaccinations, assessments, eyes and teeth care, etc.
Psychological and psychiatric support, individual, collective and family therapy.
Legal Support
Coaching by a law advisor, social services and social assistants from CAMELEON (length: 3 to 12 years).
Extracurricular Activities
Artistic practice, sports and circus to recover self-confidence, build a positive image of oneself and a sense of responsibilities.
Days out and workshops (cooking, sewing, embroidering, handicraft, IT, aesthetics, circus…) to foster skills.
Circus
Circus is an integral part of CAMELEON programs. This practice is considered therapeutical as it is rewarding, empowering, and allows children to bloom, experience wellness, have fun and build a positive image of themselves. Volunteer professionals of circus come from France each year as part of the partnership with the National School for the Arts of Circus in Rosny-sous-Bois (ENACR). Afterwards, the most skillful and motivated girls supervise the circus lessons for the rest of the year.
Families’ Guidance
Contribution reaching 8% of their child’s cost.
On arrival at Reception House in Passi, social services identify one or some relatives of the child (family or neighborhood) whom CAMELEON works with throughout the rebuilding process as part of its medical and psychological support.
When not dangerous, preparation to rehabilitation inside the family through meetings or stays in the family and parental advice.
CAMELEON also guides families with vocational training and a help to create income-generating activities.
Emergency Aid
Aid in emergency situations (mending or rebuilding houses in case of natural disasters, hospitalizations, death, fire…).
Further Information
Public services contribute up to 10% to the child’s yearly cost.
Lessons of nutrition, moments to make aware of prevention and hygiene and first aid trainings are dispensed to young ladies.

Rehabilitation and Autonomy
Goal: Helping young ladies, victims of sexual violence to find their place in society.
After an average 3- to 4-year stay at a reception house, about fifty young ladies are guided by CAMELEON until their rehabilitation in their family and/or their insertion in the corporate world.
Profile
Girls and young ladies from 10 to 24, victims of sexual violence, having been remaining 3 to 4 years in the Personal Rebuilding program.

Developing autonomy
Support by a career’s advisor to choose a vocational training or a higher education course. Preparation to job appliance (redaction of CV, training period appliance, etc.).
Families’ Guidance
Contribution reaching 8% of their child’s cost.
Checking their parent’s responsibilities by social assistants. Inspections are fulfilled to their house.
Vocational training dedicated to families, help to job appliance and to creation of income-generating activities.
Emergency Aid
Aid in emergency situations (mending or rebuilding houses in case of natural disasters, hospitalizations, death, fire…)
Further Information
They benefit from a grant for their everyday life, transport expenses and scholarship.
Discovery training periods are offered in companies, hospitals, hotels, restaurants.
Lessons of nutrition, moments to make aware of prevention and hygiene and first aid trainings are dispensed to young ladies.
